Central Processing Unit (CPU): Understand the CPU’s role in processing data and executing instructions within a computer system.
The CPU is pivotal because it processes all instructions from both hardware and software. Without it, the computer can't perform tasks or solve problems. Storage Devices: Understand the importance of storage devices in saving and retrieving data.
Long-term storage is necessary for keeping data safe and accessible over time, even when the computer is turned off. Anyone who needs to save work, install programs, or use a computer. Devices that store data persistently. In use for saving and retrieving data across computer sessions. Can be inside the computer (like HDDs or SSDs) or external (like USB flash drives).
Motherboards: Recognize the motherboard as the central platform that connects all components of a computer.
The motherboard is the central hub for all components, allowing them to communicate with one another, which is essential for a functioning computer. It's the backbone for every hardware component inside a computer. The main printed circuit board (PCB) in a computer. It's in use whenever the computer is operating. Sits inside the computer case and hosts the CPU, RAM, storage, and more.
